Meet the author
My journey into creating children’s books has grown from a lifelong love of art. I’m happiest when I’m creating, whether working with pastels, watercolours, oils, or simple line work, which continues to shape much of my style. In recent years, I’ve also explored digital illustration, always looking for new ways to tell meaningful stories.
I am currently a Year 1 teacher and the art lead at my school, where I encourage children to explore their creativity every day. Outside the classroom, I enjoy travelling, hiking, and spending time in nature, which often inspires my stories.

“For me, I believe that stories help children explore emotions, ideas and important conversations in a natural way.”

As an educator, I can see the value and potential that the story has. Joseph delivered a workshop to my year 4 class, and they loved it!

★★★★★
The children were fully engaged throughout the workshop and absolutely loved it. It opened up important conversations around anti-bullying and helped them understand how words can shape the way we see ourselves. The session also provided plenty of thoughtful prompts, which made it easy to extend the learning into our own independent activities in the classroom.

★★★★★
I really enjoyed the workshop because all the activities were fun, creative, and engaging. The story was so interesting, and I especially loved the illustrations because they helped bring everything to life and made it easier to imagine the scenes. The book also had lots of meaningful lessons to learn from. One of my favourite parts was recreating a scene from the story, which made the experience even more interactive and memorable.
